Bikram's yoga is a routine of 26 poses with two breathing exercises which work the whole body in 90 minutes. The poses work synergistically and cumulatively to return the body to a balanced state. The routine is dynamic and exhilarating. The series works equally well for beginners and advanced students. Good for athletes and non-athletes alike, young and old, fat and skinny. The 26 postures are scientifically designed to deliver total health by balancing and strengthening every system in the body in order to prevent illness and injury, promote weight loss, and limit the effects of aging. Expect results!

The room is intentionally warm so that your muscles will stretch more easily. Warm muscles are more elastic and less susceptible to injury. Warm muscles have a greater range of motion as compared to cold muscles which do not absorb shock or impact as well and do not stretch easily. Muscles aren't the only beneficiaries of the heat. Higher temperatures improve the function of the nervous system whereby messages are carried more rapidly to and from the brain.
